Good morning Amethyst class,

Today marks the start of your last week of this year. It has been an absolute pleasure to be your teacher this year and I'm so proud of how strong you have been during this period of uncertainty.

I look forward to getting back to some normality next year and hitting the ground running when most of your are in year 6.

This week's learning project is all about transition and looking back on this year and ahead to next year. Your reports are out this week, which will give you some personalised targets to work on over the holidays.

Please be safe, please keep reading and please enjoy your summer,

Miss Dufour

This week's projects are based around celebrations and how people around the world can celebrate things differently. One of your tasks is to plan your own celebration; you can choose whatever you like but one idea might be the celebration of when we can all be together again at school.

Monday 27th April 2020

Happy Monday Amethyst class, I just wanted to say thank you so much for doing such an amazing job and being resilient through these difficult times.

Did you know that it was Earth Day on Wednesday 22nd April? This was a special anniversary, as Earth Day has now been running for 50 years! Because of that, a lot of this week's learning activities are based around our planet and how we can look after it.

Monday 23rd March 2020

Good morning Amethyst class,

I hope that you are all healthy and enjoying this new experience!

Alongside the pack that I gave you, here are some subject-specific tasks for you. It is full of different challenges and interesting projects.

https://robinhoodmat.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Week-1-Learning-Project-Y5_6.pdf

I shall be uploading a new one every week during your home learning. I would also suggest that keeping a diary or journal (whether written or typed) would be very useful during this time - you may want to look back at it when you are older - and I would love to read what you're getting up to outside of the classroom.

Please, if you have any questions or need any help, my email is: chelsey.dufour@st-pauls-warton.lancs.sch.uk

Have a lovely week,
