Home Learning January 2021
Summer Term 1
Hello lovely Emerald Class!
I hope you are all well and happy and enjoying the beautiful sunshine :)
Monday 22nd June
Happy Monday, Emerald Class!
I hope you are all happy and working hard and having lots of fun at home.
This week's project is all about transport.
How would you love to travel?
I think travelling in a bubble would be fabulous - bobbing along gently and being able to float above any traffic jams and see views for miles!
My dream car is a Chrysler Crossfire - I think it looks beautiful! How about you? Do you have a favourite car?
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you learn and achieve this week.
Remember, if you have any questions about your home learning or want to show me any work you are particularly proud of, you can email me:
liztowers@st-pauls-warton.lancs.sch.uk
Have a great week, learning about terrific transport!

Happy Monday, Emerald Class!
I hope you are all happy and working hard and having lots of fun at home.
This week's project is all about a really fascinating topic - SPACE!
Apparently, the stars look brighter when you're in space - how beautiful!
Have you ever imagined what it would be like to travel in a rocket and float around inside, like these astronauts?
I think I would feel sick - yuck!
But, I would love to see what planet Earth looks like from space!
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you learn and achieve this week.
Remember, if you have any questions about your home learning or want to show me any work you are particularly proud of, you can email me:
liztowers@st-pauls-warton.lancs.sch.uk
Have a great week, learning about astronauts, rockets, planets and our solar system!

Monday 18th May
Hello lovely Emerald Class,
I hope you're all well and keeping safe.
I've really enjoyed reading about some of your home learning from the emails your grownups have been sending me. I am so proud of all of you for keeping on trying and being resilient in your learning. Keep sending me your news and pictures!
This week's learning projects are based around famous people. As well as a reading, writing, maths and phonics task for you to have a go at every day, there are some wonderful activities for you to enjoy. Don't forget to ask your grownups to send me pictures of your work and how you are getting on.
Please remember that your weekly spellings are on the 'Spellings' page, and there are links to use on our 'Useful Websites' page for you to practise Maths and English skills - including the brilliant
BBC Bitesize.
If you haven't done P.E with Joe Wicks yet, have a go! Get your family involved too! It is on every weekday at 9am and will help you to get fitter and stronger, as well as being lots of fun.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you and seeing what wonderful work you are doing at home!
Have a lovely week,
Miss Towers.
Monday 11th May
Good morning Emerald Class!
I hope you're all well and keeping safe.
Thank you to all of you who sent me emails and photographs last week - I loved hearing what you've been up to!
This week's projects are based around celebrations. Did you do anything special to celebrate VE Day? If you have any photos, please send them in and, if your grownups give permission, we can share them on our website, for all your friends to see! I wore a special Union Jack party dress and sparkly Union Jack hair ribbon, and celebrated with a VE Day picnic in my mum and dad's garden. We made sure we were safe by staying at opposite ends of the garden and waving to each other!
Maybe you could plan a special celebration for us to do when we are all back together at school?
If you haven't done P.E with Joe Wicks yet, have a go! Get your family involved too! It is on every weekday at 9am and will help you to get fitter and stronger, as well as being lots of fun.
Please remember that there are links to use on our 'Useful Websites' page for you to practise Maths and English skills (including the brilliant BBC Bitesize) and your weekly spellings are on the 'Spellings' page.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you and seeing what wonderful work you are doing at home!
Have a lovely week,
Miss Towers.
