Trinity Hospice School Link

St. Paul's has invested in the Trinity Hospice School Link Service. This provides us with, (amongst other things):

  • In-school training for all staff on how to support children dealing with bereavement and significant loss
  • An allocated visit per term from the Schools Link Service Co-ordinator to our Link Worker (Mrs. Scholz) to discuss best practice in school and how we can support children and families who need our help
  • In-school assessment and signposting for families facing bereavement, pre-bereavement and significant loss
  • E-mail and telephone advice service for school

Trinity offer a variety of counselling and group work which is available to us to support children and families that we are concerned about. We have used their 1:1 counselling service recently and they are currently running

The Pebbles Programme in school for groups of children in our junior classes. This is aimed at increasing resilience for children who have experienced a loss in their lives and whose resilience has been undermined. To find out more about The Pebbles Programme please click the link below:

If your family have suffered a bereavement or significant loss (this can include family break up) and would like to know more about the support that the School Link Service can offer please arrange to see Mrs. Scholz for a chat.
